Retail attendance continues to rise
Retail attendance increased by a staggering 22% on 2010. The event saw buying teams from Argos, Asda, Boots, John Lewis, Sainsbury, Tesco and other major retailers with stores across the world. Retailers from Europe included Auchan, C&A Europe, Carrefour and El Corte Ingles.
Extensive media coverage
Our focus has been on promoting the power of licensing to a broader business audience and profiling licensing as a hugely exciting and growing sector in its own right.
This strategy has been a huge success and 2011 has again been sensational in terms of media coverage – some of the most exciting media activity included a 3-hour visit by BBC Worldwide/BBC Breakfast to the show to create a feature that will be used globally around the end of November 2011; the appearance of President of Lucas Licensing, Howard Roffman, on the Sky News Jeff Randall Business Show; and Moshi Monster’s Michael Acton Smith speaking on BBC Radio 5.
