Anita Majhu is a Senior Licensing & Brand Partnerships Manager at BBC Studios where she works on soft lines across a portfolio of brands. Her role focuses on identifying and partnering with like-minded businesses that share the values of BBC Studios.
Working extensively across the BBC Earth brand, Anita collaborates with partners to bring environmentally considered and sustainable choices to consumers. She recently partnered with Mother of Pearl and the British Fashion Council at London Fashion Week, launching an exclusive capsule collection with Net-a-Porter and raising awareness around fast fashion.
Other recent partnerships include working with sustainable t-shirt manufacturer Tee-mill to create a fully circular zero waste t-shirt, and Fair Trade fashion retailer People Tree on a BBC Earth collection which highlights the importance of ocean conservation.
Through this work Anita has helped to lead BBC Earth’s partner strategy and further the conversation around sustainable products.
Anita was recently selected to join the next cohort of Emerging Leaders, BBC’s high potential leadership programme for senior managers.
Prior to her role at BBC Studios, Anita was a Senior Apparel Buyer working at Tesco, George and Mother Care. Here she specialised in children’s apparel, leading departments to bring consumers products that were value for money and accessible to all.
